How We Recommend Products

Many recipes, guides and crochet patterns include a box of recommended kitchen tools or crochet supplies. This is how we choose what goes in it.

Our criteria

• Does it fit the job? We only recommend what genuinely helps with that recipe or project: the right tin size, a hook in the right size, a yarn with suitable properties.
• Specifications. Sizes, materials, capacities and hook sizes come from the manufacturer or the retailer's product page, and each is stored with the date we checked it.
• Who is it for? We say who a product suits, and when something simpler will do.

What we don't claim

Unless a page says otherwise, we have not tested the recommended products ourselves. We don't show star ratings, prices or discounts: they change constantly and are only current at the retailer. We don't hand out titles such as "best overall".
