Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced (or use frozen, thawed)
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1-2 limes juiced (about 1/4 cup juice, adjust to taste)
  • ¼ cup sweetener sugar, honey, agave, or monk fruit, to taste
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Strawberry or lime slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries.
  • Add strawberries, 1 cup of water, lime juice, and sweetener to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice as needed.
  • Optional: Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove seeds and pulp for a smoother drink.
  • Pour the mixture into a pitcher. Add the remaining 1 cup of water and stir well.
  • Chill in the refrigerator or serve immediately over ice.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberry or lime slices if desired.

Notes

For a fizzy version, replace some water with sparkling water or club soda. Add fresh mint or basil for an herbal twist. Adjust sweetener to taste based on the ripeness of your strawberries. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and stir before serving.
