Ingredients

  • 1 large bag tortilla chips or pita chips, baked potato chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend
  • 1 cup cooked protein ground beef, pulled pork, grilled chicken, or black beans
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced jalapeños fresh or pickled
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives optional
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup salsa or pico de gallo
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup corn kernels optional
  • 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco or feta optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread tortilla chips in a single layer on a large oven-safe platter or baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the chips. Add cooked protein and any toppings you want warmed (beans, corn, etc.).
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and transfer to a large serving board or platter.
  • Arrange fresh toppings (tomatoes, jalapeños, olives, onion, cilantro, queso fresco) and serve with bowls of guacamole, sour cream, and salsa on the side.
  • Let guests build their own nachos or dig in family-style!

Notes
