Equipment

  • Large skillet or cast-iron pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs
  • Measuring spoons
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika optional, for extra flavor
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional, for a hint of spice
  • optional fresh parsley for garnish
  • optional lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  • Pat steak pieces dry with paper towels. Season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika (if using). Toss to coat evenly.
  • Heat a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it heat until shimmering.
  • Add steak pieces in a single layer, without overcrowding. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove steak bites and set aside.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet and let it melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Stir in chopped parsley and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Return steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce until well coated.
  • Transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with additional parsley and lemon wedges if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use a hot skillet and do not overcrowd the pan. Let steak bites rest briefly before serving. Try with ribeye, tenderloin, or New York strip for variation. Add sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
