Equipment

  • Blender
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 medium apple peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 ripe banana fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt plain or vanilla
  • ½ cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce regular or sugar-free, plus more for drizzling
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg optional
  • 1 cup ice cubes adjust for desired thickness

Instructions

  • Peel, core, and chop the apple. If using a fresh banana, peel and slice it.
  • Add the apple, banana, Greek yogurt, milk, caramel sauce, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ice cubes to a blender.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy, adjusting the amount of milk or ice for your preferred consistency.
  • Taste and add more caramel sauce or spices if desired.
  • Pour into glasses and drizzle with extra caramel sauce if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and non-dairy milk. For extra protein, add a scoop of protein powder. To make a smoothie bowl, reduce the milk and top with granola and apple slices. Adjust caramel to taste or use a sugar-free alternative for a lighter option.
